Ferozepur : As part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing campaign under the “Mission Nasha Mukt Punjab” initiative, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Ferozepur Range has achieved a significant breakthrough by recovering around 25,000 intoxicating tablets and capsules from two accused persons. The seizure forms part of intensified efforts to curb the supply and distribution of illegal drugs across the region.
Swift action was taken on a tip-off, as per the directions of Sohan Lal Soni, AIG, ANTF Ferozepur Range, and Bhupinder Singh, DSP, and Hardev Singh, SI.
The special ANTF team, acting on reliable information, conducted raids and successfully seized a large quantity of intoxicating drugs, which included a mix of banned capsules and tablets. The two accused—Angrez Singh of Mamdot Uttar and Rinku Singh of Swai Ke Bhokhdi have been nabbed and booked. The contraband was being supplied illegally in the region through a well-organised network.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, No. 166, dated 18-06-2025, at the police station ANTF, District Moga. The authorities are further investigating the source and network linked to the accused. Officials said that the crackdown is part of a broader strategy to dismantle drug supply chains operating in Punjab.
The ANTF has reiterated its commitment to act firmly against drug peddlers and ensure that Punjab remains on the path toward a drug-free society. Further investigations are underway.
