Leopard Enters Ghaziabad School, Exams Cancelled as Precaution

Panic broke out at a school in Ghaziabad on Wednesday morning after a leopard entered the campus of Green Field School located on NDRF Road. According to reports, the leopard was seen roaming in the school grounds for some time and even attempted to move towards the classrooms. However, it could not enter the building as the doors were shut. District Forest Officer Isha Tiwari stated that the school contacted the forest department around 7:50 AM and shared CCTV footage. The footage clearly showed a large leopard moving inside the campus. Upon further examination, it was found that the animal was first spotted at approximately 5:15 AM, passing between flower pots with parked cars visible in the background. Another clip showed the leopard wandering in the school playground. Teams from the forest department and police reached the spot soon after receiving the information. All school gates were immediately closed, and barricading was carried out on NDRF Road to divert traffic. Efforts to capture the leopard are underway, with traps being set up in the area. Police officials confirmed that, as a precautionary measure, the scheduled Class 11 examination was cancelled. Parents were informed and advised not to send their children to school. Authorities stated that timely action helped prevent any major incident. Surveillance of the surrounding area is ongoing as officials continue their efforts to secure the situation.
