‘Nasha Mukt Punjab’ Campaign Ends in Jalandhar; Amit Shah to Meet Nearly 50 Families

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet around 50 families in Punjab who have lost their members to drug-related deaths during his visit to Jalandhar on Wednesday.
According to details, Shah will interact directly with the affected families and listen to their experiences in an effort to understand the circumstances and hardships they have faced. The Punjab BJP has invited nearly 50 such families to Jalandhar, including families that have lost more than one earning member to drugs.
The meeting has been arranged ahead of Shah’s address at a major BJP rally in Jalandhar. A separate tent has been set up for the affected families, where the Union Home Minister is scheduled to hear their grievances and personal accounts.
The Jalandhar rally also marks the culmination of the Punjab BJP’s ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab’ (Drug-Free Punjab) Yatra. The party’s senior leadership wants the Centre to announce assistance for families that have been severely affected by drug-related tragedies, particularly those whose entire families have suffered major losses.
The rally is being held ahead of the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections and is expected to focus heavily on the issue of drugs. Shah is likely to launch strong criticism of the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government over the drug situation in the state.
According to the information available, the Union Home Minister may also announce a new programme related to combating drugs during his address in Jalandhar.
The issue of Punjab’s law-and-order situation is also expected to figure prominently at the rally. Meanwhile, several Punjab BJP leaders are also seeking a major announcement for the state’s farming community during Shah’s visit.
The event is expected to draw significant attention as the BJP seeks to highlight the drug issue and the difficulties faced by families affected by substance abuse.
