Family of Three Killed After Being Hit by Vande Bharat Express in Jharkhand

In a tragic rail accident in Jharkhand’s Pakur district, three members of a family—including a couple and their three-year-old daughter—lost their lives after being hit by the Vande Bharat Express. According to officials, the incident took place on Tuesday night near the Nagrnabi railway station under the Howrah division of Eastern Railway. At the time of the accident, the New Jalpaiguri–Howrah Vande Bharat Express was passing through the area while the family was attempting to cross the railway tracks. The deceased have been identified as Chandan Sardar (35), a resident of Rajapara, his wife Rimpa (25), and their three-year-old daughter Arpita. All three died on the spot due to the impact. Government Railway Police (GRP) Sub-Inspector Ramesh Kisku confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Further investigation into the incident is underway. The incident has left the local community in shock, with authorities urging people to exercise extreme caution while crossing railway tracks.
